Windswept & Wonderful in the Western Isles | Eve & Mark.

Hello Friends!

Frankly, I’m as amazed as you are that i’m finally posting so many blogs. It’s been a long time coming, nevertheless, this week’s blog is sure to blow your socks off, from the windswept and wonderful engagement session that I had with the very lovely Eve and Mark, just one week before they got married.

The day started off like most days in the Hebrides, unsure of what the weather may hold for us but with a little bit of going back and fourth we decided to go ahead with the shoot regardless, chosen location - Traigh Mhor in Tolsta.

I had visited the week before with Richy and Rigby to scout the area, and what a day it was, the sun was shining the fluffy white clouds from the sky above were reflecting in the wet sand and although it was a bright day, not too bright for photos…. perfect photography conditions! Fast-forward to the day of Eve and Mark’s shoot, and well, let’s just say the closer and closer I drove towards Tolsta, the darker and darker the clouds became, but do you know what, this pair were amazing sports!

We waited in the car for a few moments to see if the rain would pass but when it wasn’t looking likely, we all went for it anyways! I will let a small collection of my favourite photos from the day do the rest of the talking… we were getting battered with rain and sand from all angles, which made for super creative photographs with the true essence of what life in the Hebrides can be like sometimes - Windswept and Wonderful, especially when you’re getting married just one week later!

I think this collection of super cute images just go to show that if you’re adventurous and up for a bit of fun, like this pair definitely were - massive kudos to them for being awesome clients by the way - venturing out in all weathers can create the most amazing images that are filled with emotion, motion and drama!

Although my camera was covered in sand and I was weatherbeaten too, I would do another shoot like this again in a heartbeat. I absolutely love when my clients roll with the flow and although it wasn’t planned, just get on board for a wind and rain-filled beach photoshoot during the Hebridean winter - if nothing else, it’s an experience and one you certainly won’t forget lol.
