I’m A lassie from Lanarkshire living life in The Hebrides.

When it comes to photography I love the fun, quirky and unusual.

the wee moments that are actually the big ones and all captured in a magical way!

Did every Wedding Photographer start out as a Music Photographer first? That’s certainly my story anyways. A regular on the Glasgow Music Scene from around 2008, being pelted with pints in mosh pits - this was where I learned the trade - at dark, gritty gigs with tremendous red lights; the hardest of all lighting conditions to photograph.

Since those early days living the ‘pop-punk-rock’ lifestyle, I have since trotted the globe from Australia to California on a journey of self-discovery. I lived in The Canary Islands and The Outer Hebrides, all the while camera-slinging as I go!

Living in The Hebrides has had a profound and life changing impact on me, particularly on my mental health and my general wellbeing for that reason, among many, I after a year an a half on the mainland and feeling the call of The Wild Isles daily, I moved back in March of 2023. Small family in tow.

For over 14 years I’ve documented people and places. I started taking photography seriously at 21 years old and at that time I went to college for Traditional (Analogue) Photography. Since those early days in the Dark-Room, I transitioned to Digital and have carried out numerous photography courses including a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Professional and Wedding Photography. Analogue Film Photography still has a huge impact on my work.

I’m a graduate of The Photography Institute and an Award Winner with The Lifestyle Photographers Association

I’m mama to a beautiful wild and wonderful toddler and an energetic, bouncing Springer Spaniel; who’s named after a Beatles song btw, can you guess which one? … (Yes, I’m a Beatlemaniac)

Other fun facts about me are that I’m a lover of all things Walt Disney/Walt Disney World, Marvel, Star Wars and Doctor Who to name a few. I have tons of tattoos most of which are Disney related. I’m a self professed and proud introvert (INFJ; for those in the know) and of course I’m Hufflepuff through and through! I live what some may deem as an alternative lifestyle; I was vegetarian for over 13 years but now I’m primarily Plant-Based, I haven’t drank alcohol in nearly 4 years, I practice mindfulness, meditation and yoga when I can and I try to live as sustainable as I can, where possible. In other words, I’m living the ‘older’ millennial hipster dream!!!
