Lifestyle Family Photography, is a huge part of what I do here at Aperture Lane - yet, has it ever really featured on my blog? Not really. This blog revival has really made me realise how much of my work I have never actually put anywhere, except on Social Media and even then it was just one or two images in a very small box that most people likely scrolled past. If you find yourself here - you probably intentionally chose to come to this page and appreciate captured family moments.
So, I am VERY excited to start sharing family, newborn and branding sessions on the blog, both old and new but to start I HAD to share this one first. Family Photography that speaks straight to my heart, well because they are my heart…. my mum and my daughter! <3
For my Mum’s Birthday we took a trip to Campbeltown & Southend, where I gifted my Mum a Granparent Photography Session with my daughter (her first grandchild) My Mum and Daisy’s Birthday’s are just over a week apart so Daisy had just turned one in these photographs. Although these images are ultimately for my Mum. I am overjoyed that Daisy will have these memories to look back on of her and her Granny for the rest of her life. I can’t confidently say I have many photographs with any of my grandparents but I know for a fact I would loved to have memories like these to cherish. I want to create that for her and I am so pleased that I can, as well as capturing the special memories for others too. It really is a privilege to do this job (if I can even call it a job) the thing about capturing special moments is that every year that passes they grow and grow more and more valuable.
I was super pleased to deliver this gallery to my mum this week and I’m so excited to see these images in print form (call me old school but it hands down beats a digital image) as my mum is going to create a gallery print with some of her favourite moments from this day.
